As you know the Clemson Community CROP Walk
is a Community wide event so we are encouraging
everyone to participate! So who do we need?

  • Families

  • Community Churches

  • Civic Organizations

  • Local Schools

  • The College Community

  • Service Organizations

  • International Individuals

This year we are trying to make our biggest impact on the Community. Here are some ideas that would really turn some heads:
  • Bring a banner to hold as a group while you walk. You could create a banner for a hunger plagued country with some little known statistics about the problems facing that country.

  • Take on the persona of a country in your own unique way.

  • Get your classroom to stand up and have a student sit down every five seconds to represent the number of children that die every minute.

  • Make T-shirts to represent your country and wear them during the walk.

  • If you are an international individual from a hunger plagued country come represent your country in your own unique way.

  • Fill a bucket up with water and carry it during the walk to symbolize the hardships that some people must endure to collect water for their families

  • Buy a bag of rice and seperate it into bags of one half a cup each. Distribute these to your family and friends letting them know that this is the average amount of food that a person in the world eats for dinner.
